GREAT DEPRESSION

In 1995, the Great Depression (Todd Casper, Tom Cranley and Chadwick Nelson) were invited to the luxurious and isolated Pachyderm Studio (Nirvana ‘In Utero’) in Cannon Falls, Minnesota to record their Slint-infused debut album ‘Darling, Bar the Door’. Brent Sigmeth was working as the house engineer at the time and during the next three months the four of them developed a deep musical connection. They continue to convene in the woods.

They have released 3 albums (Unconscious Pilot, Preaching to the Fire, Forever Altered)and 1 EP (Prefix EP); through Fire Records of London.

Their latest offering, ‘In a Starry State’ is a Sci Fi romance inspired by Philip K Dick’s Valis trilogy.
