Modern Studies, Lomond Campbell and the Pumpkinseeds Chamber Orchestra bring SOUNDING to Celtic Connections in January 2018


SOUNDING, the critically-acclaimed run of multimedia concerts staged by Modern Studies, Lomond Campbell and the Pumpkinseed Chamber Orchestra at the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, will return at Celtic Connections in Glasgow on 21st January 2018.

After the success of their debut album Swell to Great (★★★★ MOJO, ★★★★ Scotsman,  ★★★★ List), Modern Studies will preview material from their ambitious sophomore LP (to be released on Fire Records in 2018) at SOUNDING in the beautiful surroundings of Saint Luke’s, Glasgow.

Lomond Campbell’s album Black River Promise (★★★★ Scotsman, ★★★★ Record Collector, ★★★★ List) will be presented in its entirety following its reissue on Heavenly Recordings in November 2017.

Both acts will present their unique brand of lyrical landscape pop at Celtic Connections, enhanced by intricate arrangements played by the renowned Pumpkinseeds Chamber Orchestra, including a ten-piece string section, brass and voices.
