Today would have been the birthday of eccentric groover and one time member of Jefferson Airplane and Moby Grape, Skip Spence. The cult icon recorded the buried treasure ‘Oar’ which, many moons later the world acclaimed as a long forgotten slice of the strange – it was also covered in its entirety by Beck and pals. Skip sadly left this mortal coil in 1999.
