Toronto-based experimental folk trio The Silt and their first for Fire Records after two lo-fi outings on their own label. Skilled at their craft, The Silt are able to both astound with their skill (their drummer plays bass and drums at the same time!) and use it for more improvised forays. They are the true meeting of pop and experimentalism, most notably on soulful album opener "Come Back To The Willow".
Cats Peak features sublime harmonies, words of natures magic and loves mysteries delivered with a fine avant-folk country sensibility,
A grand mix of Bonnie Prince Billy and a subdued Magnolia Electric Co
this album is, simply, a pure delight. Exclaim!
