The Bevis Frond’s ‘Miasma’ & ‘Inner Marshland’ Released on Coloured Vinyl for #RSD16 + Live London Show 10th July

As part of Record Store Day 2016 Fire are releasing two albums by cult neo-psych band The Bevis Frond.

Their first two albums ‘Miasma’ and ‘Inner Marshland’ will be released on limited edition royal blue and purple vinyl on April 16th, followed by more albums later in 2016 – keep your eyes peeled!

Originally self-released by Nick Saloman and limited to just 500 copies, the debut from The Bevis Frond marked the beginning of a highly influential career in underground British neo-psych-rock. Armed with a four-track portastudio, the success of 1986’s “Miasma” saw it unexpectedly sell-out quickly with a repress not far behind. Sounding as bracing today as it did then, it collects some of Saloman’s finest songs. Having played in bands since the late 60’s, and constantly writing, Saloman had founded The Von Trap Family which went onto become Room 13. In fact, he had almost called it a day, but it was the popularity of “Miasma” that saw him continue onward and establish himself as an underground legend.

Remember to get tickets below to their only London headline show this year at Birthdays, Dalston on July 10th!
