Death And Vanilla announce UK tour for ‘Whistle And I’ll Come To You’ score

Death And Vanilla will tour the UK this October with a special series of immersive live shows where they’ll perform the soundtrack in full, live to a screening of Whistle And I’ll Come To You. Presented by cult film curators Deeper Into Movies and folklore zine Weird Walk under the banner Deeper Into Weird Walk, the tour promises an uncanny collision of vintage horror, hauntological sound, and British mythic tradition — a rare chance to step inside one of TV’s most unnerving ghost stories.

Swedish trio Death And Vanilla follow their much-praised re-imagined soundtracks to ‘Vampyr’ (2017) and ‘The Tenant’ (2018) with their interpretation of the soundtrack to cult 1968 TV show ‘Whistle And I’ll Come To You’ via Fire Records. At a time when post-ambient electronica and bedevilled folk music are co-habiting, and the public’s interest in Pagan rites and rituals has been sparked by a new generation of fans. The bizarre storyline of Whistle And I’ll Come To You seems even more pertinent… and strangely haunting.
