Hater reveal new single ‘Hopes High’ from upcoming album ‘Sincere’ out 6th May

Out today Hater release new track ‘Hopes High’ taken from their new album Sincere out 6th May on Fire Records.

Reflecting on relationships that have become a distant memory, ‘Hopes High’  is a fuzzed out arresting slice of 90s shoegaze pop that evokes Slowdive.

Solidifying their impressive trajectory, ‘Sincere’ sees the Swedish four-piece producing distinctly darker music with heavier instrumentation. A reawakening for the visionary band, it’s an expansive shoegaze trip through noisier, bittersweet pop realms where anger and heartbreak sheds new light on the acclaimed outfit.

Recorded last year, Hater welcomed two new band members and those early day sparks saw them quickly turning demos into fully-formed new songs that appear on the record. Eager to record them, long-time collaborator Joakim Lindberg recorded the first songs in Sickan Studio in Malmö before heading back into AGM studios where their debut ‘You Tried’  was also recorded. John Cornfield, whose credits include Ride, Muse and Robert Plant, mixed and mastered the album.

Hater are Caroline LandahlMåns LeonartssonFrederick Rundquist and Rasmus Andersson.

‘Sincere’  will be available on Rough Trade limited edition black & gold vinyl with signed print, standard LP, CD & digital
