Haylie Davis reveals new video and single for ‘Country Boy’ out now

Following the rich melancholy pop of her previous single ‘Golden Age’ – rising star Haylie Davis presents her latest single of cosmic Americana, the heartfelt ballad ‘Country Boy’  out today.

‘Country Boy’  is an aching lament to lost outsiders confronted by the big city; in some ways an answer to Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believing’  that resonates like an out-take from Linda Rondstadt’s classic Silk Purse, complete with a wailing steel guitar.

Haylie dedicates the track to all the country boys from the Midwest and Southern US states that left their life behind to come to the city of angels in California, that she also calls home.

Recorded live in one take it perfectly highlights Haylie’s gorgeous vocal range and her intricate storytelling, a more mature soulmate to the haunting melancholy of her previous single ‘Golden Age’, and a second taste of her debut album which follows in 2026.

Part of a burgeoning LA scene that rekindles the halcyon days of the classic troubadours, Haylie’s euphoric range nestles somewhere between Judy Collins, Carole King and Emmylou Harris for post-Gen Z.

Haylie Davis is a Los Angeles based artist beginning a release campaign with Fire Records for her debut album scheduled for 2026. For her debut full-length Davis ventures into the world of rock n’ roll and pop while still touching on past influences from country and folk. Haylie Davis’ voice can also be found on many other projects in the scene such as “Dear Departed”  by Sam Burton, “Hiding in Plain Sight”  by Drugdealer, “California Blues”  by Alex Amen, Sylvie, and more.
