Out today Jane Weaver’s latest single witnesses the artist reawaken in an unlikely dreamlike pasture, ‘Solarised’ is the shimmering disco cut from her critically acclaimed new album, ‘Flock’ released in March.
Equally as psychedelic as we’ve come to expect following her recent trilogy of conceptual pop albums, ‘Solarised’ finds Jane in an unfamiliar discotheque scene waiting for daylight using her own new-found pop-powers to navigate past psychotronic demons failing to pull her back. This is the kind of synthetic disco music found on a secret Estonian dance-floor when you can’t remember how you got there, but you know there is a very bright future ahead.
Jane Weaver’s unique combination of dystopian disco and her signature positive political-pop meets new prismatic filters and panoramic vistas. The accompanying retro futuristic video sees Jane armed with an all-female skate crew as they take to the rink for one of this year’s most vibrant pop videos. New single ‘Solarised’ also features a newly released extended rework of the original track.
The recent release of her new album ‘Flock’ has seen the artist reach new heights with her scaling the official album charts and entering the top 25 for the first time in her career. Receiving huge praise from fans and critics alike, Rough Trade made it their ‘Album Of The Month’, The Guardian awarded the record ‘Album Of The Week’ and MOJO described it as “her finest set to date”.
Set to tour the UK this November following some summer festival live dates, her headline tour includes Leeds, Birmingham and London’s Village Underground on 7th November. Jane continues touring into the new year during January and February 2022 with dates already selling out.
