‘Torch Song’ dwells in the uneasy space where love becomes a burden and silence feels easier than truth. A confessional ballad lit by the glow of a screen, it’s built on a lo-fi slacker bassline, sweeping piano chords and acoustic strums. Both intimate & expansive, it carries the melancholy pull of Radiohead, Sparklehorse and Grandaddy, while finding its own torchlit path through secrecy, doubt and renewal.

Pictish Trail is touring around the UK throughout the remainder of 2025, including intimate solo shows in small rooms around lesser-visited corners of rural Scotland, plus support slots for folktronica legends Tunng, and a headline date at The Social in London on Wednesday, November 26.
