Fire Records launches a partnership with Signature Brew to produce a collaborative beer (‘Fire Water’) and to host a series of exclusive live performances and signings of legendary acts; entitled ‘Signature Sessions’.
Signature Sessions will be held at Signature Brew’s Haggerston Venue, where a carefully curated selection of artists will perform special sets, alongside record signings and exclusive merchandise drops. The sessions launch with the first pour of ‘Fire Water’, a crisp new lager, on Record Store Day 2025 (Saturday April 12) and will be hosted by writer and comedian Stewart Lee, who declared Fire as “one of the last great indie labels”.
The inaugural event will be co-headlined by the (mini) Mekons, celebrating the release of their excellent new album ‘Horror’, with another secret set of Fire mavericks to be added to the bill very soon. The good times roll around again on the 6th June, on the same week that SXSW launches in London with a very special Headliner from the label’s ever-expanding roster.
Legendary postmodern, post punk, post human, past caring collective Mekons will grace the stage – hot on the heels of their brand-new album ‘Horror’, their first release for Fire Records out 4th April. The roots of their global sound reflect their nomadic journey through time and space from Leeds to California in the West and Siberia in the East and is woven into the fabric and intricacies of their song creation…
