Brigid Mae Power reveals new video for ‘Head Above The Water’ & rescheduled UK November Tour

A collaboration between Jonny Sanders (Prehuman) and the artist, this new video draws you into the landscape with its soothing therapeutic yet stormy imagery of the Irish sea and uses effects that replicate the cyanotype photo printing process. This transfixing new video complements ‘Head Above The Water’, a song that deals with the physical pain of addiction endured by loved ones.

“I shot some footage of the surrounding landscape where I live, feeling very drawn to filming the water and damp boglands around me.” Brigid Mae Power

Observational of the world around her, as well as her own personal journey, Power’s lyrics transcend “everyday grief transfigured by the sublime” (Mojo).

“There’s a delicious tension between the ethereal succour offered by her voice and the turmoil these thrumming songs are processing.” The Guardian

“A triumph” Uncut
